Maintenance of motivation

Reading other teachers' blogs is useful, informative and insightful. Another half-term has been completed, the relatively long dark winter term is nearly complete and thoughts are beginning to re-surface about the next career move. Stay and adapt, or go to (possibly fictious) greener pastures elsewhere? How to find them? Some of 'Teacherhead's posts (e.g. here, or here) are helpful in terms of putting the pros and cons of the current job into the right context. More experience has made citc realise that half-term breaks are beneficial for both pupil student and teacher to recuperate to start again, afresh. The question is when and how to gauge an appropriate to time to depart (or not)...
